Made the move from Aberdeen as cover for Roy Carroll with former first choice keeper Lee Butler going the other way joining Motherwell.
Was a very able deputy and made a number of appearances in Carroll's absence notably during the run in to the end of the 1999/2000 season after the Ulsterman was ruled out following an emergency operation to remove his appendix.
In fact Stillie impressed enough to keep the gloves and was first choice during the play-offs, including Wembley, leaving Carroll to sit it out on the bench.
Also played a large part in the 2000/2001 season with Carroll either out injured or away on international duty. A well respected keeper with a good kick on him.
Norwich City were rumoured to have been interested in his services at the end of the 2000/2001 season and along with Pat McGibbon handed in a transfer request. However tried to establish himself as first choice keeper after the £2.5 million transfer of Roy Carroll to Manchester United but lost that honour firstly upon the arrival of Stewart Kerr and then again in December when John Filan made a £600,000 move from Blackburn Rovers.
Injury kept him out for a while but wasn't to appear for the first team again and left the club after his contract expired at the end of the season.
