Winger Albert was signed from Almeria for an undisclosed fee on 30th August 2011. He signed a two year deal with the proviso of a third year should he wish to stay longer.
His Premier League debut was a real baptism of fire as he entered the field of play as a substitute with his team losing 3-0 against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on 10th September 2011. At least during his twenty minutes on the field things didn’t get any worse with a 3-0 defeat being the final score. His last game for the club was a Capitol One Cup (League), first round fixture against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground which the Blues won 1-4.
