CLYDEBANK vs WIGAN ATHLETIC
24th July 2001
JEWELL LOOKS AT SQUAD OPTIONS IN PRIVATE FRIENDLY.
In the midweek Wigan played a behind close doors game when Jewell was able to experiment with line-ups and have a better look at the trialists and youth players. Latics looked in danger of recording their first defeat of the new season when Clydebank netted early in the match but goals from Dickson and Brian McLaughlin allowed the spoils to be shared and enabled Paul Jewell to extend his unbeaten record as Wigan manager.
