Latics Hold On For 80 Minutes Before Double Strike Sinks Them
A much improved performance saw Latics easily hold off the Premiership League Leaders for over 80 minutes before a dubious William Gallas gave them the lead.
Whilst Latics chased what would have been a well deserved equaliser and a well taken Rosicky strike lucky bounced in off the post to end the match 2-0.
The league leaders were held for the best part of this game and proved to evrybody that Wigan Athletic can hold their own in this league.
Had Gallas' header, which looked very much like it was offside (I'll have to see the replay), not broken the deadlock, Latics would have gone on to earn a deserved draw.
Thomas Rosicky sealed victory in the 85th minute with a bobbling strike that went in off the post.
